Sunday win
Apr 16, 2007 – 14:04PMI haven't posted in a few days now, and I apologize for that. It's been a mostly uneventful week and I was busy (like many of the rest of you probably) making tax preparations. I had a strong Sunday though taking down the UB $500 tournament for over $22k. I got to the final table about 5th in chips, but played (and ran) extremely well and took it down with relatively little trouble. Not that the competition at the table wasn't tough, it was. I just had good timing and hit the flops I needed to to win.
I'm getting ready to write my regular Card Player column soon. It was actually due Friday but with the tax mess I fell behind. It will be 4-5 weeks before you see it in print probably, but it's going to be a fun column on the art of building a pot, which is something I see players constantly doing wrong lately so it should be a fun topic. I also had a $3/$6 cash game video series that part 1 was released of on PokerXFactor on Friday that's pretty good. Part 2 isn't quite as good as part 1 in that series, but it's definitely a good cash series.
Speaking of cash, I've been running pretty well in cash this month since changing my schedule around, sitting on over 7 PTBB (that's over 14 big blinds) per 100 hands playing mostly 5/10 full ring and 3/6 6 max with some 5/10 6 max sprinkled in. I actually thought I might end up making more money in cash this month with my new schedule than tournaments, but it looks like after yesterday's win I'll probably clear more in tournaments unless something changes the rest of the month.

Just curious, how are you managing to get your money out of the sites? and do you use any of the ewallets? I assume for large withdrawals your doing checks?
I have begun stalking you online (only on ubet), and I saw you dominate that final table...I believe when you got heads up, your opponent said "I think I am way overmatched"...I think that may have been the shortest final table i have seen in a while! Nice work!
Hi Rizen, how are you? Very nice your new blog. Looking forward to your cardplayer columns, and have been taking a look at your cash vids (when I find some free time as well! Ugh, so busy lately - who isn't?). Anyway, as I have said before, I am a fan of your game, very logical and economic, the way you play and express your thinking is very CLEAR and makes it seem so EZ ≤-)
All the best to you and your family,
Maridu (Maria, Rio de Janeiro)
P.S. - If you want, check out my blog, even if you don't understand the language, you will be able to see some of the Brazilian players like Akkari, Igor Federal (even ME! lol) and there are some scenes from the poker documentary I've been filming for over 1 year with Brazil's top players (should be released soon...) Sorry if Portuguese, Greek or Pig Latin are all the same to you... lol! And sorry for huge comment! I'll be economic "Rizen Style" next comment! ;-)
